Why does my termite inspector report plumbing problems?

. . . when she says she's not a plumber?

All pests, like us essentially seek the same basic things: food, shelter and water to drink.  Without good supplies of these they can't thrive. You house is good shelter and it almost certainly has lots of food for termites.  If it is well built and maintained, what it won't have is freely available water for your termites to drink.  That's why your inspector spends a lot of effort looking for areas with unexpected moisture.  That's why they all carry moisture meters.  Leaky showers, bad drains and damaged pipes make damaging termite infestation much more likely.
